Dermapen4

Heard that you need Pico laser to treat acne scars?
In 2024, a groundbreaking device specifically designed to treat all types of scars was introduced — the Dermapen 4 microneedling pen.
With faster treatment speed and enhanced safety, Dermapen 4 works by creating controlled micro-injuries to trigger the skin’s natural healing process, promoting collagen production and skin remodeling. It also improves the absorption of skincare products, making it especially effective for those with acne scars, pitted scars, enlarged pores, and other skin concerns.
6 Key Features of Dermapen 4
01
Customized Treatment Depth
Dermapen 4 features a digitally controlled system for adjusting needle depth and speed. With an integrated RFID chip, it ensures automatic calibration, allowing for ultra-precise depth adjustments from 0.2 mm to 3.0 mm, in 0.1 mm increments. Whether treating superficial or deeper layers, it allows for tailored treatments suited to each individual's skin condition.
03
Vertical Needle Insertion for Reduced Discomfort
Using advanced AOVN™ (Advanced Oscillating Vertical Needling) technology, Dermapen 4 inserts needles vertically into the skin. Compared to traditional rolling microneedles, this significantly reduces pain and discomfort, making treatments more comfortable.
05
Minimal Downtime
Because it creates tiny, controlled micro-injuries, recovery time is quick — usually around 2 days — with minimal visible downtime.
02
Automated Operation for Greater Precision
Thanks to its automated microneedling system (delivering 120 needle insertions per second), Dermapen 4 ensures consistent speed and depth throughout the procedure. This eliminates the uneven penetration often seen with traditional derma rollers and allows for precise targeting based on the treatment area.
04
Suitable for All Skin Types & Areas
Dermapen 4 is safe and effective for all skin types, including sensitive, oily, and dry skin. It can also be used on delicate areas such as around the eyes, lips, face, and neck, offering versatile treatment options.
06
Enhanced Results with Serums
Dermapen 4 treatments can be combined with various skincare serums (such as hyaluronic acid or PLT) to boost results. The micro-channels created by the needles allow for deep penetration of active ingredients. The device also comes equipped with specially formulated Meso-Glide™ infusion serums to maximize absorption and enhance treatment outcomes.
What is it & How does it work?
Dermapen 4 is an advanced microneedling device that was officially approved by Taiwan’s Ministry of Health and Welfare in 2024 as a Class II medical device. It has also received international certifications, including FDA (USA) and CE (EU) approvals, making it a trusted and globally recognized technology in skin treatment.
Renowned as the gold standard in microneedling therapy, Dermapen 4 offers faster treatment speeds and higher safety standards. It features digitally controlled precision in both speed and depth (ranging from 0.2 mm to 3.0 mm), allowing for customized and effective treatments. Notably, it is one of the few microneedling devices officially indicated in Taiwan for use on all types of scars.

Dermapen 4 uses a high-speed, ultra-fine needle cartridge (with 33-gauge micro-needles) to create thousands of micro-channels in the skin. Operating at high speed, it can generate 1,920 micro-punctures per second, resulting in millions of controlled micro-injuries in just 10 minutes.
These micro-injuries trigger the skin's natural repair process, stimulating the production of collagen and elastin. Additionally, the rapid needle movement generates gentle heat, which further enhances collagen remodeling. These micro-channels also significantly improve the absorption of topical skincare products.
Compared to previous microneedling devices, Dermapen 4 delivers treatments up to 104% faster, making it a superior choice for those seeking visible results with improved efficiency and comfort.

Q&A
How Often Should Treatments Be Done? How Long Does Each Session Take?
A full-face Dermapen 4 treatment typically takes around 5 to 10 minutes.
The number of sessions and treatment intervals vary depending on individual skin conditions. In general, treatments are recommended every 4 to 8 weeks.

What’s the Difference Between Dermapen 4 and RF Microneedling?
-
RF Microneedling combines microneedles with radiofrequency energy, usually creating 6,000 to 15,000 micro-channels per session.
-
Dermapen 4 uses only microneedles and does not generate heat from radiofrequency, but it can produce hundreds of thousands of micro-injuries in one session.

Are There Any Side Effects? What’s the Recovery Time?
Common side effects may include: Redness and swelling, Minor bleeding, Bruising, Scabbing
The deeper the treatment, the more noticeable the scabbing may be. Typical recovery time is around 1 to 7 days. A small number of individuals may experience temporary hyperpigmentation.
